LONG-TERM SERVICES AND SUPPORTS

Supporting those who need more help

The Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) program includes a wide range of benefits for members. Providers in the BlueCare Tennessee networks serve these members through six separate programs.

LTSS PROGRAMS

Six programs to support our members

We have a wide variety of programs, which you can learn more about below.

CHOICES

CHOICES providers serve members in nursing facilities, as well as at home or in the community, known as Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). Find more information about the program, including manuals, training and forms.

Employment and Community First (ECF) CHOICES

ECF CHOICES providers promote and support integrated, competitive employment and independent living as the first and preferred option for members with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

ICF/IID

Intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IID) provide specialized services. These facilities are required to provide active treatment through intensive specialized supports and services to help individuals develop increased skills and independence in functional life areas.

1915(c) Waiver Program

The 1915(c) waivers offer Home and Community-Based Services to people with intellectual disabilities to help them live, work and be involved in their communities. These waivers are closed to new enrollment as of July 1, 2016.

The Katie Beckett Program

This program helps children with disabilities or complex medical needs who don’t qualify for Medicaid. It provides extra benefits to allow their families to meet their child’s needs at home.

SelectCommunity

TennCareSelect members with intellectual and developmental disabilities could be eligible for SelectCommunity, especially if they get services from the Department of Disability and Aging (DDA). This program helps them get the care they need.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Addressing staffing gaps and barriers

Health care, like most industries, is experiencing workforce challenges. We're working with the Division of TennCare to address strategy and efforts designed to close staffing gaps and barriers.
